Increasing regulation of the franchise sector, occasional negative media coverage and the risk of litigation require franchisors to bullet-proof their recruitment systems even before they have recruited their first franchisee.

This program is designed for personnel involved in attracting, screening and selecting Franchisees. Not only is it a “how-to” guide to recruitment, but identifies key areas of risk management in the process. The program focuses on the essentials, including obligations, establishing and refining selection processes and strategies for addressing concerns and Franchisee frequently asked questions.

Attendance at this workshop will benefit those already responsible for franchisee recruitment by extending their existing knowledge, and serve as essential training for those new to this role.

> Presenting the Disclosure Document and Franchise Agreement to prospective Franchisees
> Case studies for discussion

3. SELECTION PROCESS FROM ADVERTISING TO AGREEMENT
> Benefits of having a documented Franchisee selection process
> Best practice strategies in attracting, screening, interviewing, profiling and selecting the best Franchisee

4. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
> The importance and challenges of building and managing relationships
> Generational issues: communicating and interacting with Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y
> Cultural issues: how key ethic cultures approach commercial relationships
> DiSC behavioural system: overview of the behavioural system and understanding why people behave the way they do in particular environments
> Open Forum

NB: This module does not include territory mapping, site selection or leasing, which are covered in other seminars offered by the Franchise Advisory Centre.
