Introduction to Mediation & Negotiation Skills PDF Print E-mail

For busy managers without the time to attend a full mediation course, a single-day Introduction to Mediation & Negotiation Skills seminar is also available.

The Introduction to Mediation & Negotiation Skills seminar contains the same theory and practice as Day 1 of the full course, and gives the participant a valuable insight into the processes of mediation. As a result, managers can approach mediation with confidence and recognise its usefulness and appropriateness in resolving business disputes.

Participants who complete the Introduction to Mediation seminar can later enrol in the full mediation course, and obtain credit for the day's training already spent. As a result, participants who wish to subsequently obtain their accreditation and apply to the OMA panel need only complete a further four days (including assessment) of mediation training.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar has been designed specifically to provide a valuable insight into the processes of mediation for franchisor personnel who come into contact with franchisees on a daily basis and who are primarily responsible for maintaining the franchise relationship.

An early recognition of factors that can lead to dispute, plus an appropriate process to resolve conflict, can result in greater productivity and longevity in the relationship.

This seminar is particularly relevant for franchisor field support personnel, master franchisees, and others in a franchise support role.
